Here are a few Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Saturday, March 10. Also, check out the video of President Obama's weekly address, "Investing in a Clean Energy Future."

*Virginia General Assembly to end session without budget deal
*Budget impasse puts lawmakers in crisis mode
*Obama says Va. Rolls-Royce plant sets example
*Remarks by the President on Manufacturing and the Economy (Rolls-Royce Crosspointe; Petersburg, Virginia)
*McDonnell: Democrats' budget wish list too much, too late ("Too late" for what, McDonnell's VP aspirations? LOL)
*Webb: Limit GI Bill at for-profit schools
*Webb to Hotheaded Senators: Cool It
*Webb stands firm against Tricare fee hikes
*Virginia lacks conservative leaders, Cuccinelli's wife tells supporters ("In a letter to supporters, Teiro Cuccinelli, writing on behalf of her husband, said the state suffers from 'a lack of firm, principled conservative leaders.'" Well, alrighty then. Rolls eyes.)
*McDonnell signs tougher DUI legislation
*Delegates earn dubious Sensitivity Caucus awards
*Dr. Northam's appeal ignored
*Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell Golf Claps President Obama (I wonder if McGimmick would have done this to inveterate golfer - and Republican - Dwight Eisenhower)
*No fair: Festival's bankruptcy leaves Virginia in rare company
*Bill seeks to soften Chesapeake Bay cleanup plan (Stupid, short sighted, and anti-environment, as always, by Bob Goodlatte.)
*Christina Nuckols: Wilder silent as his legacy takes a bullet (Weird, the guy has something to say about everything else, but not this?)
*Wolf Warns Airports Board Against Union Preference in Metro Project
*Don't forget: Spring forward for Daylight Saving Time

P.S. Also see Recent debate over contraception comes as GOP loses gains among women.

P.P.S. Some big sports news as well - Washington Redskins trade with St. Louis Rams for No. 2 pick in NFL draft; Robert Griffin III is expected target

UPDATE: Oh, and one of the best translations of the pathetic Republican't spin on the continuing strong economic numbers under President Obama comes from Dartmouth College Economics Professor Andrew Samwick -- "Shorter version?  You are making inadequate progress getting us out of the hole we dug for you despite our opposition to every program you propose." LOL, perfect!
