Our campaign just got more big news, Virginia New Majority has just endorsed Dr. Lateef for Chairman. Virginia New Majority is a non-partisan non-profit 501(c)(4) organization that has worked around the state to advance the issues you and I care so deeply about.
In their endorsement, Executive Director Jon Liss said, "Dr. Lateef will build on the best of Virginia's democratic traditions to help create a progressive future for our state. Dr. Lateef is in touch with the reality of the changing demographics of Northern Virginia, and Prince William in particular, and he aspires to lead the county towards an era of inclusiveness and economic security."

| LateefForChair :: Virginia New Majority Endorses a New Vision For Prince William County |
08.29.2011- Virginia New Majority is proud to endorse Dr. Babur Lateef for the 2011 election of the Chair of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors.
Dr. Lateef shares with us a vision for Prince William County as a beacon of acceptance, fairness, and freedom. We firmly believe that, under his leadership, Prince William County can make major strides towards ending the county's perpetual attacks on immigrant communities and vital public services. Dr. Babur Lateef believes in a County government that ensures fairness for immigrants, excellent schools, and funding for high quality public services for all county residents. We are confident that Dr. Lateef has the right work experience to lead and life experiences that will foster the commitment to fighting for equality for all the residents of Prince William County.
Like all candidates that we've endorsed in the 2011 election cycle, we are confident that Dr. Lateef will build on the best of Virginia's democratic traditions to help create a progressive future for our state. We will look to Dr. Lateef to be a champion of Prince Williams' immigrant and African American communities, women, youth, LGBTQ communities, and working families. Dr. Lateef is in touch with the reality of the changing demographics of Northern Virginia, and Prince William in particular, and he aspires to lead the county towards an era of inclusiveness and economic security.
The Virginia New Majority Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Dr. Babur Lateef. We wish him all the best in his fall campaign.
