Wow, they really did it.
Moments ago, the Republican Party of Virginia officially nominated Ken Cuccinelli as their candidate for Governor.
We knew this was coming, but I want to make sure you know what it means.

Richmond, VA - Today Ken Cuccinelli delivered a speech at the Tea Party-controlled Republican Party of Virginia convention that included plenty of red meat for extreme conservatives:
"Ken Cuccinelli's extreme Tea Party rhetoric should remind Virginians of the singular focus of his career: outlawing a woman's right to make her own decisions," said DPVA Chair Charniele Herring. Fascinating discussion, I watched it on the NewsHour last night. What's particularly tragic about Watergate is how it, combined with the Vietnam War and other factors, led to a decline in American's faith that government can be a force for economic progress, social justice, and national greatness. It's a tragedy that's still unfolding, as epitomized by today's viciously anti-government Republican Party.
