The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

Video: The Days Tick By, Romney Refuses to Condemn Mourdock's Extremist Remarks

by: lowkell

Meanwhile, on top of Richard Mourdock's comments about rape, and the fact that an ad for him by Mitt Romney is still running in Indiana, we've also got top Romney surrogate John Sununu's racist comments, Donald Trump's birtherism (and similar comments about Colin Powell as Sununu), etc.  And no condemnation from Romney, let alone ditching these people, returning their money, etc. I mean, can you imagine if one of Barack Obama's top people said that the only reason Donald Trump's supporting Willard is that he's white? The right wing would (rightfully) go nuts, the media would turn it into a huge thing, etc. Imagine if a U.S. Senate candidate who Obama had cut an ad for said that he thought abortions were awesome, everyone should get one, or something outrageous like that? Again, the right wing and media would be (rightfully) outraged! Yet with Mourdock, Sununu and Trump? Meh. Yawn. Zzzzz. Another day in the "liberal media's" world of false equivalency, cowardice, and of course "It's ALWAYS OK If You're a Republican!"

In other news, Romney does his best impression of a native English speaker. LOL (0.00 / 0)
The "lives of our homes?" Our homes are alive? Wait, I thought only corporations are people, now houses are? What next, the lawnmower and the microwave come to life?!? Scary!

Virginia Democratic Party: "How much is Allen's Silence on Mourdock Worth?" (0.00 / 0)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 26, 2012
CONTACT: Ashley Bauman, ashley@vademocrats.org, 239.404.1214

How much is Allen's Silence on Mourdock Worth?

Richmond, VA - On the exact same night Richard Mourdock, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Indiana, made the offensive statement that, "even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen," his fellow Republican nominee in Virginia was cashing in on their joint fundraising committee.

Yes - Allen received a campaign contribution of $23,000 on the exact same day Mourdock likened a pregnancy from rape to the will of God. And since that transfer, Allen has remained quiet as a mouse as Republican candidates across the country have sought to distance themselves from Mr. Mourdock's sentiment.

One possible explanation for Allen's silence is that despite his attempts to obfuscate, his position mirrors the one Mourdock voiced. Allen's proposed federal personhood legislation could outlaw all abortion and his endorsement by the Republican National Coalition for Life, that requires candidates to be " unconditionally pro-life," meaning pregnancies resulting from crimes committed against women would not be seen as a legitimate reason to afford her the right to end that pregnancy.

"This is yet another instance of George Allen's refusal to stand up to offensive statements made by a fellow Republican nominee about women's health and deplorable sexual violence. Virginia women saw this exact same duck and dodge when invasive ultrasounds were mandated in Virginia but this proves Allen's silence on women's health issues is not the exception, it's the rule," said Delegate Charniele Herring. "George Allen might benefit from his close financial ties to Richard Mourdock but no amount of campaign cash should prevent him from denouncing such hateful rhetoric."
