The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

Virginia News Headlines: Thursday Morning

Here are a few Virginia (and national) news headlines for Thursday, October 11. Also, check out this video in which "Mitt Romney Praises Glenn Beck and Fringe Utah College Founded by Right-Wing Conspiracy Theorist." So much for "moderate Mitt!"

*What Everyone Needs To Know Before Watching The VP Debate (e.g., "Ryan opposes abortion access for rape victims")
*Mitt Romney Won't Mention Glen Doherty, Slain Former Navy SEAL, After Mother's Complaint
*Polls Diverge in Va. Senate Race (The new Q-Poll has Kaine up 51%-44%, Obama up 51%-46%, in Virginia. The new Marist poll has Romney up 48%-47%, Kaine up 47%-46% in Virginia.)
*As Nov. nears, Romney shifts closer to center (Who's the real Mitt Romney? Who the heck knows!)
*Romney vows to be 'a pro-life president' after newspaper interview (Again, who knows who this guy really is? He's all over the place on every single issue, back and forth from hard right to the center or even left, sometimes in the course of a few hours!)
*How Biden can win the vice presidential debate
*The welcome decline of coal ("Mr. Romney is wrong on almost every point. The coal industry cannot and should not continue operating as it has, and Mr. Obama is not the reason. Cheap natural gas has gutted the economic case for burning coal. Climate change and coal-related pollution explain why that's a good thing.")
*Political sniping muddles bipartisanship claims in Virginia Senate race
*Error on Va. voter-registration form apt to disqualify (That's nuts.)
*Hurt, Douglass spar in 5th District debate ("The candidate squared off in a televised debate in Danville in front of a crowd of more than 200.")
*Representatives for Obama, Romney debate environmental issues at UR
*Jeff's Notes: Cut somebody else's handout.
*Hirschbiel-Rigell debate is set for Friday night
*McDonnell, Jindal stump for Romney in Portsmouth
*Dalai Lama preaches compassion, peace in visit to William & Mary
*Virginia Beach government pulls video about light-rail referendum
*Editorial: Don't blame FOIA for UVa's problems ("The board of visitors created the school's presidential mess, not open government.")
*Editorial: A chance to avoid a bad deal on the port ("The governor is overreaching his authority in trying to push through a privatization plan.")
*Griffin practices, prepares to play on Sunday
*Carpenter, Cardinals put Nationals in 2-1 hole
