The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

Virginia News Headlines: Friday Morning

Here are a few Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Friday, September 14.

*Romney owes an apology ("His exploitation of the embassy attacks was unconscionable.")
*Robinson: Romney reaches a new low (Which is not easy with this guy, as he's already at the bottom of the Dead Sea, morally and intellectually speaking.)
*Editorial: Ready, shoot, aim on Libya ("The presidential challenger's response to U.S. deaths in Libya was less than presidential.")
*Romney Adviser: 'Apology' Statement Fit Our Narrative, So We Went With It', NYT Deletes Quote (Well, at least the Romney campaign admits how completely unprincipled and smarmy they are...)
*Conservatives bash media for being mean to Mitt Romney (Fortunately for right wingers, they'll always have Faux "News" and Rush to create a more comforting, alternate reality - albeit a completely false, often crazy - one - for them.)
*In Richmond, Michelle Obama rallies president's supporters
*Board of Health votes on abortion regulations today
*Autocrat or attorney general? (That's a rhetorical question, right?)
*Poll: Kaine, Allen in Dead Heat (This is ridiculous, Virginians are seriously thinking of electing "Macaca" Man to the Senate? Pitiful.)
*Tim Kaine takes viewers on helicopter ride in new ad
*Sen. Rand Paul endorses Cuccinelli for governor
*Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli questions government boundaries
*Virginia to reconsider rules for abortion clinics ("The panel's membership has changed since June. McDonnell replaced several members whose terms expired, and others on the 15-member panel who missed the June meeting are expected to attend Friday's session")
*Virginia gets $52 million in "bonus" transportation funds (And, of course, hypocrite Bob McDonnell takes the money, even though it's from the federal government he supposedly hates. So typical of "red state" Republicans, who are by far the biggest net recipients of federal largess even as they bite the hand that feeds them...)
*Region's top Navy brass has change of command
*Editorial: Starve the loan sharks ("Push back against predatory lenders.")
*Virginia Beach pushes back vote on proposed sports arena
*Poll: Uranium mining ban should remain in place
*UVa Board of Visitors adviser: Leave the past alone
*Officials try to explain Dulles toll hikes

Board of Health Shuts Down Public Comment, Women's Health Advocates to Hold Alternative Hearing in the Parking Lot

Richmond, VA - Hundreds of women's health advocates showed up to the Board of Health meeting this morning, only to be turned away at the door. Despite pleas from the ACLU of Virginia and the public for the Board to make accommodations for the hundreds who RSVP'd to attend the meeting, the Board instead chose to shut down public participation. Women's health advocates refuse to be silenced and will instead hold an alternative hearing in the parking lot at 12:30.

"The Board of Health's own mission statement declares that their customers are the people of Virginia, not the Attorney General or Governor. If that's really true, they should come out to hear what we have to say outside," said Anna Scholl, Executive Director of ProgressVA.
