The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

RGIII Makes Dazzling Debut - Will Redskins Pull Off Upset? (FINAL: 'Skins 40-32)

by: TheGreenMiles

Robert Griffin III didn't wait long to justify the excitement of Washington Redskins fans, throwing an 88-yard touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon in the first quarter, then watching it from the ground. The Redskins are leading 30-17 late in the 3rd quarter. Will they be able to hold on to upset the Saints?

Glad the Skins won today, because in baseball... (0.00 / 0)
...my two favorite teams, the Nats and the O's, both got their butts kicked. Still, the Nats are in great shape to win their division, and the O's are right in the hunt for a playoff spot, so not too shabby. Oh, and for the record, I strongly AGREE with the Nats' decision to shut down Stephen Strasbourg, consistent with the (correct, disciplined, smart long-term thinking) way they treat players throughout their organization.

Agreed on @Stras37 (0.00 / 0)
If there was any doubt, his struggles in the last month or so sealed it (and yes, "struggling" for Strasburg is still pretty good for the average pitcher).

Great Teams! (0.00 / 0)
Boy, what a good year for Washington teams so far! The Nats are such fun to watch, and who knows, they just could go all the way. (My husband is praying for a Nats-Yankees World Series that the Nats win in six. He's a Philly boy who learned early to hate the pin-stripes.)

While I'm not a fan of football, it's about time that they had a good season. So...go Nats...go, Redskins...

Beginner's luck in the Big Easy (0.00 / 0)
There is that, too, first time out in the major league.... nevertheless, RGIII had a great day, congratulations. But what about our defense? They allowed 32 points; they'll have to do better than that from now on out, I suspect. The score almost looks like an old time basketball score, doesn't it?

No Shame (0.00 / 0)
Drew Brees and company are going to put up 21+ points on any team in the league, and we gave them a 7 point gift on the blocked punt. All things considered the defense did a good job with a banged up secondary that was suspect to begin with.

RG III went to the locker room at halftime with a perfect passer rating, something no rookie QB has ever done before with over 10 attempts, and he did it on the road in one of the most hostile environments imaginable. Nobody is that lucky.

All day long he made good, quick reads, knew when to run and when to throw, and generally didn't make mistakes. You don't see rookies come along with that kind of poise very often - he looked like a 10 year vet. The Skins are a completely different football team with him at the helm, he took that team and made it his.

This kid is for real, I'll take him over Andrew Luck and his 3 picks any day.
