The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

by: lowkell

Here are a few Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Friday, August 24. Also, check out the video of Tim Kaine's first Spanish-language TV ad, called "Valores." I hear George Allen might do one of these as well, called "Macacas." Heh.

*The Bain Files: Inside Mitt Romney's Tax-Dodging Cayman Schemes
*CHART OF THE DAY: Paul Ryan Wrong About Upwardly Mobile America ("Turns out in America, you're more likely to stay rich if born rich, and stay poor if born poor, than you are in most European countries.")
*Akin's remarks renew clashes over language around rape (How about the substance of what Republicans have been proposing and voting for, which is defining "personhood" as beginning at conception, thus outlawing abortion in all cases, not to mention embryonic stem cell research and numerous forms of contraception?)
*Former Rep. Virgil Goode hands in 20,000 signatures to make Virginia presidential ballot
*Dems recall last big Artur Davis speech (This dude's a piece of work, he truly belongs in the crazy Teapublican Party.)
*Allen, Kaine will appear back-to-back in Norfolk
*Poll: Allen, Kaine now in literal dead heat
*Kaine, Allen forum scheduled for Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce
*Kaine touts compromise
*Virginia a hub for risky car loans (Disgraceful.)
*Virginia officials knew about Dulles board insider contract (Ditto to the last comment.)
*Susan Stimpson announces lieutenant governor bid (The question is, who is NOT running for LG on the Republican side?)
*Emporia leaders call McDonnell to oppose tolls
*Editorial: Check your voter status now ("Voters will get new ID cards in the mail soon. Those who need to update their status should get ahead of the wave.")
*Contractor studying possibility of widening I-81
*Plans unveiled for Va. Beach environmental center
*Companies propose arena with pro sports team in Va. Beach
*Video of Douglass smacking GOP staffer's camera causes a row
*Hamilton: There's something about these Nats
