The famed Almighty Colbert Oak, and the Stadium Woods in which it stands, are safe for now. Virginia Tech's VP for Administrative Services, the aptly named Sherwood Wilson, has issued the reprieve. The woods will not be cut down to make room for the football practice facility on the VT campus.
