The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

Robert Hurt Fails to Show Up to First Debate (0.00 / 0)
ICYMI: Douglass Wins First Debate, No Contest

Congressman Hurt No-Shows First Debate

Chatham, VA - Congressional Challenger John Douglass won the first debate of the general election, as Congressman Hurt failed to show up. Douglass took questions at the Senior Statesmen of Virginia event on his plan to Help Virginia Families who are being hurt by corporate politicians who are bought and paid for by Wall Street corporations who put the powerful ahead of the people. Douglass renewed his challenge to Hurt for five debates, which Hurt has yet to accept stating "scheduling conflicts." In case you missed it here are some of the debate highlights.

Debate Highlights:

NBC, C'ville: 5th Congressional District Candidates Forum
Congressman Robert Hurt was a no-show to square off against his democratic challenger at a 5th district candidates forum Wednesday. "He's dodging the debate process.  He doesn't want to stand up in front of the American people and answer why does he wishy-washy on this uranium mine," Douglass said.

Daily Progress, C'ville: Douglass talks policy as Hurt again skips Senior Statesmen debate
"We're disappointed that [Rep. Robert Hurt, R-Chatham] is not here tonight," said Coy Barefoot, forum moderator. "Both campaigns were invited in March as it is a tradition that the Senior Statesmen host the first debate of the election campaign. That's nothing new."

Gen. John Douglass is running for Congress in the 5th District to help Virginia families get a fair chance at a better future after serving our country on President Reagan's National Security Council and then as President Clinton's Assistant Secretary of the Navy, before going on to promote air and space policies that grow our economy by creating manufacturing jobs and keeping our skies safe.

However I hate to see the campaign having to spend good dollars to refute these lies. One wonders if they just put out this nonsense just to eat up Dem advertising dollars.
