The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

Adam Ebbin Says He Needs Rob Krupicka in Richmond to "take on the radical right-wing"

If you're a Democrat registered in the 45th House of Delegates district, I strongly urge you to vote this Thursday or Saturday for Rob Krupicka. As Adam Ebbin says, he needs the help to "take on the radical right-wing agenda that is pulling Virginia backwards." Go Rob!
Krupicka campaign announces endorsement of State Senator Adam Ebbin
Ebbin cites long history of working with Krupicka, says he needs Rob as a partner in Richmond

ALEXANDRIA, VA. - Today, the Krupicka for Delegate campaign announced the endorsement of State Senator Adam Ebbin in the race for the Democratic nomination in the 45th House of Delegates District. In an email to supporters, Senator Ebbin said that Rob "has been a steadfast ally in the fight for true equality, world-class education system, a cleaner environment, smart transportation solutions, and innovative policies that keep our economy strong."

He continued by saying that "[Senator Ebbin] needs Rob as a partner in Richmond so that together we can take on the radical right-wing agenda that is pulling Virginia backwards."

"I've been honored to have the endorsement of many state and local leaders in this race, but to have Adam's support means a lot." said Krupicka. "We've been friends for years and we've always shared a common goal for what Virginia can be. I hope to have the opportunity to serve the people alongside him in Richmond."

Wait-- (0.00 / 0)
So someone who has spent her whole life actively fighting for GLBTQ rights wouldn't be a sufficient ally in the fight against the radical right wing for true equality?

Did anyone say that? (0.00 / 0)
Nope. However, I would definitely say, as I already have, that Rob has by FAR the most relevant experience, including on the Alexandria City Council, plus a MUCH wider breadth and depth of experience/knowledge than the other Dem candidate in this race. Frankly, it's not even close.

A Choice of Two Good Candidates - Unnecessary Endorsement (0.00 / 0)
Let me state upfront - I have told Rob I am supporting him and will vote for him.  I have also told Karen that while she'd do just fine in Richmond, Rob came to me first, and I remain true to my pledge of support for him.

With this said, this low-keyed party primary election is not about one candidate being able to "take on the radical right-wing agenda" and by implication, the other candidate (Karen) not being able to hold her own.  The hyperbole is entirely unnecessary and doesn't reflect the tone of this simple election between two worthy and committed progressives.

As a party, we need to focus on November and division in August is unproductive.

Rob will win this election, and I'll predict that it won't really be too close of a race.  Adam's late endorsement (why endorse with only two days before an election?), won't tip the scales in this race, and more than likely will diffuse Karen's supporters' energy, that we as a party will need every bit of come November.

I know Karen Gautney very well - she is a fantastic person, sharp as a nail, and unwavering in her progressive values, loyal beyond words on the concept of equality for all, and an asset for the party (and undoubtedly for Adam - whom she supported against Rob for Senate).

I look forward to Rob's strong leadership, but I think that Adam's last-minute endorsement will ultimately do more harm than good for both Rob and our local Democratic party.

Karen supported Rob for Senate against Adam- not the other way around.  I like her a lot also, but that is very confusing to me, to go from backing Rob for Senate to running against him for House.  She has every right to do it.  It just makes it hard for me to understand what exactly she is thinking.

Straight man best to fight war on women and gays (0.00 / 0)
What is Adam smoking? The "radical right-wing agenda" is taking away women's rights. What we really need is another man in Richmond, not some feminist woman. We don't have enough men in government. When they take away rights from gays, we need a straight man to "take on" the right wing, not some lesbian. White straight men is the answer. So says Adam.

Identity politics at its "finest" (0.00 / 0)
No thanks, I'm supporting the candidate who is BY FAR the most qualified on a wide range of issues, ranging from the environment to energy to transportation to education to human rights to fiscal and budget matters to...you name it. This one's an easy choice, and should be an easy win, for Rob Krupicka.
