All I can say is, this Romney dude is truly amazing, and not in a good way. See below for the Obama campaign's statement on Romney's admission that you can NOT judge a president on the economy he inherited, and need to give him up to a year to get his economic policies in place. By the way, check out the bizarre first question in the interview, and Romney's just-as-bizarre answer.
"On CNBC tonight, Mitt Romney said that a president needs up to a year to put in place policies before he can be judged on his economic performance. We agree. When President Obama took office, the nation was losing more than 750,000 jobs a month. Since January 2010, the economy has created 4.3 million private sector jobs. Throughout this campaign, Romney has unfairly sought to pin blame for the effects of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression on President Obama. His statement tonight more accurately reflects reality."-Lis Smith, campaign spokeswoman
Here's what Romney said on "The Kudlow Report":
"And we ought to give, whichever president is going to be elected, at least six months or a year to get those policies in place."
Here are the facts:
UNDER PRESIDENT OBAMA'S LEADERSHIP, THE ECONOMY HAS GONE FROM LOSING 750,000 JOBS A MONTH TO ADDING 4.3 MILLION PRIVATE SECTOR JOBS SINCE JANUARY 2010 |
