Virginia News Headlines: Monday Morning

by: lowkell

Mon Feb 13, 2012 at 06:52:32 AM EST

Here are a few Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Monday, February 13. Also note the video, one of a series about how President Obama has kept his word.

*Severe Conservative Syndrome (Paul Krugman on how "something has clearly gone very wrong with modern American conservatism." Essentially, the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Go figure.)
*AP Interview: Wilder faults Dems in gun law repeal (Specifically, Wilder blames our pal Creigh Deeds, along with John Edwards. I'd certainly agree with Wilder on those two, but the overwhelming fault for this still lies with Republican'ts, who completely control the General Assembly and the governor's mansion.)
*Editorial: Bending the rules for home-schoolers
*Editorial: An injudicious restraint of judges ("House lawmakers want to take by law a power the state Supreme Court reserves to the courts")
*Romney to Va.'s tech leaders: 'I love you' (Philosophical question du jour: Can a soul-less robot truly love? Heh.)
*Bolling disputes Democrats' charges of 'overreach' (Who are you going to believe, Bill Bolling or your own eyes?!?)
*Too early to gauge local effect of foreclosure settlement
*Mark Sickles Reports from Va. General Assembly
*Va. Democrats, Republicans: No, we can't just get along
*In Virginia legislature, transit measures not in express lane
*Teacher job protections debated in Va.
*GOP looks to build on Loudoun gains
*Sign collapses onto Interstate 66 in northern Va.; no injuries
*Tree falls on Burke home, pinning woman in bed
*Virginia man admits to $1.5 million Ponzi scheme

P.S. Also, see Fox News Commenters Respond to Whitney Houston's Death With Deluge of Hatred and Racism. Shocker, huh?
