Judge Trenga, A Bush-Era Puppet (0.00 / 0)
It shouldn't be surprising to learn that Judge Trenga was nominated by President George W. Bush on July 17, 2008.

Thus, while Virginia's conservatives lament the supposedly ubiquitous influence of liberals throughout the country, the VA GOP has proved itself quite adept at using the vast array of its government insiders to shore up power wherever there are any scraps left for the Democratic Party to pick up.

Without comment, one Republican-appointed federal judge swept aside a legitimate challenge to the Republican-dominated congressional redistricting map, assisting the VA GOP consolidate its political power in the commonwealth. The stakes have never been so high and the abuse of government position hardly as naked.
