Virginia News Headlines: Saturday Morning

Here are a few Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for this snowy, icy Saturday morning, January 21. Drive carefully! (Note for Arlington Democrats: The County Board caucus is proceeding normally today at Kenmore Middle School from 11 am to 7 pm, so if you haven't voted yet, please do). Also, check out President Obama talking about the "series of steps he's taken without the help of Congress to grow the economy and create jobs -- including a new strategy aimed at boosting tourism introduced this week." Great work, G'Obama!

*Gov. McDonnell Campaigns with Romney in South Carolina on Eve of Primary
*Goodlatte: Still a chance for consensus on Internet bill (This corporate tool really needs to go!)
*Virginia needs a health exchange
*Two alcohol sales bills advance in the Va. Senate
*Winter weather advisory in effect for Northern Virginia
*For $20M rail-car job, VRE board recommends Tokyo-based company
*House passes bill on urgent reporting of child abuse
*Norfolk Trains: All aboard!
*McDonnell announces legislative proposals for transportation
*Governor proposes selling naming rights for roads
*Senate passes new congressional districts (Three words: "Packing" is illegal. Four more words: See you in court!)
*Southwest to land in Richmond
*Light-rail train derails in downtown Norfolk; six on board are unharmed
*Danville Area Humane Society addition almost complete

P.S. Also, see *Newt expands South Carolina lead ("Although one night poll results should always be interpreted with caution, he led the final night of the field period by a 40-26 margin." Go Newt, beat Willard! Why do I want Newt to win? Because of stories like this one.)
