Can'tor Constituent at Philly Protest: "I had to travel 300 miles just to see my Congressman"

by: lowkell

Dee Jacobson from Cantor's district speaking in Philadelphia yesterday:
I came up here today...to stand in solidarity with you because I am disgusted with what my Congressman, Eric Cantor, is doing. I want to thank each and every one of you for being here today. I know there are thousands of Virginians who wish they could be here standing beside us. It's an outrage that I had to travel 300 miles to another state just to seem my Congressman. And then he has the nerve to cancel. This doesn't surprise me. Representative Cantor rarely holds public meetings in his district and does not put out a public schedule. I once went by his district office 5 different times in 1 week...

My Hope... (0.00 / 0)
I certainly hope the Philadelphia media pick this up. It'll be interesting to see if the Richmond Times-Dispatch righties tell this story.

Eric Can't or Won't Meet His Constituents (0.00 / 0)
There's a factual headline that should be running in Virginia papers, but clearly won't be running in the Times-Disgrace (er Dispatch) given his wife's presence on the Media General board....

Media General vow of silence ! (0.00 / 0)
You won't be seeing this story in the Times-Disgust or any of the other Media General dominated papers.  I have heard that the T-D is in deep financial trouble due to a declining readership.  Couldn't happen to a more deserving group of  people.

Help us PROVE Can'tor ignores us in his district (0.00 / 0)
I've started a petition to DOCUMENT that Cantor is unresponsive to his constituents.

Please sign this petition (even if you live out of VA Dist 7) asking Eric Cantor to support the Jobs Act. In the unlikely event that he does support and vote for it - GREAT.  But if he doesn't, it will be documentation that he is ignoring the wishes of his constituents.

We have nearly 900 signatures so far, and it is one of the fastest growing petitions on Signon.org.  Even if you live out of the district we can use your signature - there will be a sorting into 2 lists.

Please help us grow this petition: sign it and share with FB, Twitter, mail lists, etc.

OK, I'm going to start deleting these comments (0.00 / 0)
if you continue to post the same one all over the blog, and also if you don't even provide a link to your petition. Thank you.
