Policy wise good.. (0.00 / 0)

and I certainly agree with it more, but his other ad was just a better ad when viewed technically. If the aim of the "group" in this ad was to make him seem like this was an authentic discussion and not a scripted ad, then it failed. It just comes across as so awkward.

It's certainly better than those GOPer ads where the politician hugs his wife and smiling children, while talking about how he is going to stand up for "family values" and "the principles that made America great."

it just feels a bit too scripted (obviously all ads are scripted, but I feel there's no point to having the ad feature Nye sitting with voters talking trying to portray it as an authentic conversation when it's so monotonous and scripted)

C'mon, even the Rigell supporters at Bearing Drift (0.00 / 0)

think this ad is a good one:

Glenn Nye's campaign released their new ad today, virtually a complete 180 turn-around from their much (and justly) criticized first ad. Contrasted with Rigell's ad, where Rigell spoke directly to the camera, Nye's lame attempt at a first ad was all voiceover, with the requisite 'I approved this ad' at the conclusion. Rigell's ad was far more personal, not to mention Nye's ludicrous claim that he voted against the bailout, despite not being in office for the vote. Nye's team apparently quickly realized they would lose the message battle (thankfully for them it came before Labor Day) and went with a new approach. Admittedly, far more effective then his first go around.
