Mark Warner Makes His Best Case for Glenn Nye

by: lowkell

Senator Mark Warner makes his best case for Glenn Nye at a Campaign Rally on August 25 at Green Run High School in Virginia Beach. Are you sold? Psyched? Sleeping? Sick of it all?  Feel free to discuss in the comments section.

One "D" (4.00 / 2)
Glenn Nye has a "D" after his name, which is what has helped make Pelosi Speaker and give other Democrats committee chairs.

Other than that, the man has no redeeming value.

Vote for him if you're in his district, by all means. But don't con yourselves into believing he's a real, live Democrat. He's only a "D" for counting purposes.

Wow, there's a shock! Prince Mark who lobbied against the public option supports a guy who voted against hir! (0.00 / 0)
Prince Mark, who was a reliable vote to kill every amendment to strengthen finance regulatory reform, supports Nye who voted against job bills.

Two peas is a corportist pod.

Nye's district is R+5.  So's Perrillo's but their voting record and rhetoric couldn't be more different.

Truman: give a voter a choice between someone trying to look like a Republican and a real Republican, they'll vote for the real thing every time.

Nye has spent the last 20 months doing his best imitation of a Republican.  We'll see if ol'Harry is still right.

Evil incarnate (0.00 / 1)
So now Mark Warner is evil incarnate too?

Prince Mark has been on the outs around here since he lobbied against the public option (0.00 / 0)
and relied on United Healthcare lobbyists for his positions on hir.

While knowledgeable economists were telling us all that the stimulus was too small and focused too much on tax cuts, Prince Mark was complaining that it was too big and didn't have enough tax cuts.  Events have proven Prince Mark very, very wrong.

Then, he repeatedly voted against almost every amendment that would have strengthened financial regulatory reform.

But to know this, you'd have to have been actually paying attention for the last 20 months.

At every turn, Prince Mark has chosen to side with Wall Street over Main Street. It's understandable.  It was junk bond financing of Nextel by Wall Street that made him rich.

The term "evil incarnate" has not been used in any of my postings but I've used "conservadem" and "corporatist" to describe Prince Mark, Nye and Connolly.

Boucher's record is similar to Nye's and I've never used either term to apply to him because he's in an R+11 district.  I've even sent Rick money.

I have no intention of helping Nye or Connolly but will empty my wallet and fill my calendar for Perriello and Boucher.

I'm in favor of socialized medicine (0.00 / 1)
I'm in favor of socialized medicine myself, but I realize there is not yet broad support for it.  I think it is only a matter of time before the electorate insists on it.  But it can not be shoved down the populaces throats, the voters are going to have to demand it, and thus far they are rebelling.

It is going to take a realization that what is good for one should be good for all for us to gain acceptance of socialized medicine.

It's pols like Prince Mark who are shoving for-profit health insurance down Americans throats. (0.00 / 0)
Over 60% of Americans already insist on a public option or a Medicare buy-in. Americans are hungry to be freed from the tyranny and oppression of the for-profit health insurers.

They are demanding that freedom and Prince Mark ignores them.

Why do you keep saying (0.00 / 0)

Prince Mark? (sorry, for some reason it posted before I was done) (0.00 / 0)

Because of his condescending attitude toward the will of the people of Virginia on the stimulus, hir and finreg (0.00 / 0)
He's more concerned with protecting the elites of which he desperately wants to be seen as belonging to than in advancing the interests of the middle class.

Given the choice between jobs and banks, he chose banks.

Given the choice between for profit health insurers and their patients, he chose the health insurers.

Given the choice between banks and their customers, he chose the banks, again.

He protects the elites and screws the middle class.

I think there's (0.00 / 0)
plenty of people willing to disagree.

they can't support their opinion with facts (0.00 / 0)
but feel free to try.
