Spanberger Inaugural Committee Announces Inauguration Weekend Schedule of Events

The Theme for the Inauguration of the 75th Governor of Virginia, “United for Virginia’s Future,” Expresses Governor-Elect Spanberger’s Commitment to Serving All Virginians & Bringing Their Voices to the Decision-Making Table

RICHMOND, Va. — The Spanberger Inaugural Committee today announced the schedule of events that will mark Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger’s “United for Virginia’s Future” inauguration weekend from Friday, January 16 to Sunday, January 18, 2026.

The theme for the Inauguration of the 75th Governor of Virginia, “United for Virginia’s Future,” reflects the collective pride and common goals that will move the Commonwealth forward. The theme also expresses Governor-elect Spanberger’s commitment to serving as a thoughtful, pragmatic leader for all Virginians who brings their voices to the decision-making table and always puts Virginia first.

“These celebrations honor far more than any one person — they honor the story of the people of Virginia. The upcoming inauguration will reflect the values that unite us as Virginians — a shared desire to build a stronger future for our children, the triumphs of generations of Virginians who carried us to this moment, and the rich cultures that are woven into the fabric of our Commonwealth,” said Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger. “My family looks forward to welcoming Virginians to our capital city as we chart our path forward together.”
